Official name of the program: Sunshine Coast Council’s ‘Kids in Action’ program. Kids Teaching Kids Conference.
The Year 5 River School students made 2 sculptures using milk bottles to highlight environmental issues associated with Climate Change. They won ‘Best Display Kids Choice Award’ (2018).
KIDS IN ACTION WEBSITE The Sunshine Coast Kids in Action annual conferences are highly successful with over 1500 Sunshine Coast students across 40 schools participating to date over the past six years. Visit the Sunshine Coast Councils website for more information about past events here.
Our Year 5 students designed their own T-shirt about Climate Change in art to wear at the 2018 Kids in Action Conference.
2016 Kids in Action: Students won best display. Showcasing and teaching students natural-dye techniques
2015 Kids in Action: won best workshop for paper-making.
